Arkansas places CDA at TAPP Career Lattice Intermediate 1; Arkansas Better Chance pre-K requires bachelor's + EC teacher certification.

CDA acceptance & requirements
- Lead teacher requirements: Arkansas DHS Division of Child Care and Early Childhood Education (DCCECE) licensing accepts CDA among lead-teacher qualifications. CDA is recognized at the Intermediate 1 level on the TAPP (Traveling Arkansas' Professional Pathways) Career Lattice.
- Assistant teacher requirements: Minimum age 18, HS diploma/GED, plus orientation training (state-required hours) and 15 hours/year of continuing PD.
- Director requirements: Higher Lattice placement; Arkansas Director's Credential required for licensed-center directors.
- State-funded pre-K (Arkansas Better Chance, ABC): Bachelor's + state teacher certification with EC endorsement required. CDA does not satisfy this.
- QRIS: Better Beginnings — Arkansas' QRIS, administered by DCCECE. Higher tier (Level 3) ratings expect AA/BA mix in workforce scoring.
- T.E.A.C.H. & apprenticeship: T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® Arkansas is one of the longest-running state programs (founding-era). ECE Registered Apprenticeships through state community colleges.
