During the inspection, it was determined that the child day camp (owner or administrator or staff member) provided false information, in that a YMCA employee was on phone with the camp administrator and relayed information to the specialist stating that the entire camp was going off site for a field trip and all documents would be offsite at the field trip. There was no one at the facility to assist with the inspection. The specialist asked multiple times if anyone would be available to assist with the inspection and the response remained the same. Upon leaving it was later observed that a group of young school age campers were still onsite after the older camper had left. The specialist asked one of the six counselors if they were with the summer day camp and they responded yes. They stated the only field trip they were going on that day was going to happen later in the day, down the street to Graeter's.
