In the Preschool Unit, several children were observed climbing on top of tables, chairs, and shelving units throughout lunchtime. Staff were serving and cleaning up during this time and were present and not actively supervising or intervening. Appropriate supervision was not provided by staff in the Mixed Age Unit. Two children were observed climbing a gate/barrier, which separates play space from sleep space, and climbing into a playpen together while staff were present and not actively supervising or intervening.
