Why this rating

This daycare earned 5 out of 5 stars overall. Structural quality reflects a license in good standing. The structural rating also includes Washington's licensing baseline — what every licensed daycare in the state must meet. Washington caps infant ratios at 1:4, toddler ratios at 1:7, and preschool ratios at 1:10. Lead teachers must hold a Child Development Associate (CDA). Teachers must complete 10 hours of annual training. No objective process measures (e.g., state quality rating or national accreditation) are available for this daycare. The overall rating reflects structural features only.

    • Early Learning Providers Who Prepare or Serve Food to Children at an Early Learning Program Must Obtain a Current Food Worker Card Prior to Preparing or Serving…Serious: 110-300-0106(12)

0106(12) At the time of inspection, the licensor observed a staff member with an expired food handler card. The licensor explained that maintaining a current and valid food worker card is required for all staff who participate in any food-related activities. This includes, but is not limited to, assisting children with opening food packages, handling or preparing food items such as peeling fruit, and serving beverages such as water or juice, as well as distributing meals. The licensor further clarified that even minimal involvement in food handling or service requires valid certification to ensure proper food safety practices are followed. The licensor instructed the facility to ensure the staff member renews their certification without delay and to conduct a review of all staff records to confirm that food worker cards are current. The facility was also advised to implement a system for monitoring certification expiration dates to prevent future lapses and maintain ongoing compliance with food safety requirements. Page 2 of 3 Non-Compliances: This section of the Inspection Report lists non-compliances found during any licensing inspection. Information from this section will be reported to Child Care Check and can be used to determine current and future licensing and enforcement actions.
