Why this rating
This daycare earned 5 out of 5 stars overall. Structural quality reflects a license in good standing. The structural rating also includes South Dakota's licensing baseline — what every licensed daycare in the state must meet. South Dakota caps infant ratios at 1:5, toddler ratios at 1:5, and preschool ratios at 1:10. Lead-teacher education isn't regulated. Teachers must complete 10 hours of annual training. No objective process measures (e.g., state quality rating or national accreditation) are available for this daycare. The overall rating reflects structural features only.

- 67:42:17:29 - Allergic Reactions67:42:17:29
Allergic reactions - a child with a known food allergy consumed a food they were allergic to. The provider shall have a written care plan for each child who has a known food allergy containing instructions regarding any food allergens, steps to be taken to avoid that food, and a detailed treatment plan to be implemented if the child has an allergic reaction. The program has allergy plans for children with known allergies; however, the individual preparing and serving the food did not follow a child’s allergy plan. The individual involved in the incident is no longer employed with the program. The program has implemented additional safety measures to ensure children’s allergy needs are met.
