The facility's driver did not have [ An annual physical examination which grants medical approval to drive]. CCF Handbook, Section 2.5.1 General Requirements [SR] During the inspection and licensing was verifying updates for driver's physicals. Two drivers did not have updated physicals but yet they have been driving the vehicles. Employees and dates are listed on the confidential page. Technical Assistance given from the handbook: 2.5.1 Driver Requirements The driver of any vehicle used by a child care program to provide transportation must have the following: Child Care Facility Handbook Page | 15 A. A valid Florida drivers license including the proper endorsement; B. An annual physical examination which grants medical approval to drive, and valid certificate(s) of course completion for first aid training and pediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) procedures. The facilitys fencing walls or gate area had gaps that could allow children to exit the outdoor play area. CCF Handbook, Section 3.5, F Physical Environment [SR] The fence in the older children's playground does not go to the ground and has been bent and twisted and part even looks like it is missing. Pictures taken and shown to the person in charge on day of inspection. Provider was told to not let the children in that playground until the fence is fixed. Technical Assistance given from handbook: 3.5 Outdoor Play Area F. The outdoor play area must have adequate fencing or walls a minimum of 4 feet in height. Fencing, including gates, must be continuous and must not have gaps or opening larger than 3 inches that would allow children to exit the outdoor play area. The base of the fence must remain at ground level and be free from erosion or buildup to prevent inside and outside access by children or animals. These areas must have at least two exits, with at least one being remote from the buildings. If an outdoor play area was approved for usage by the Department prior to October 25, 2017, no new exits are required to be added to meet this standard. However, if outdoor play area fencing is changed then the standard would apply, and two exits must be provided. Due Date 10/23/2025

Harmful items including cleaning supplies, flammable products, poisonous, toxic, and hazardous materials were accessible to children in care. CCF Handbook, Section 3.2, B (Section 10, number 4) Physical Environment [SR] When FSC did walk through of three-year-old classroom it was noted that a cleaning supply was on the shelf where the children in that classroom could reach. Person in charge for the day removed the cleaning supply and put it in a closet where children can not access. Technical Assistance given from handbook: 3.2 Toxic/Hazardous Material/Firearms/Weapons A. All areas and surfaces accessible to children must be free from toxic substances, bio contaminants, and hazardous materials/equipment/tools, including power tools, plastic bags, matches, candles, lighters, etc. B. All potentially harmful items, including cleaning supplies, flammable products, poisonous, toxic, and hazardous materials, must be labeled and used according to manufacturers recommendation. These items, as well as knives, sharp tools, and other potentially dangerous hazards, must be stored in a locked area or must be inaccessible and out of a childs reach at all times.
