Why this rating
This daycare earned 4 out of 5 stars overall. Structural quality reflects a 100% violation rate, no complaints on record, and a license in good standing. The structural rating also includes California's licensing baseline — what every licensed daycare in the state must meet. California caps infant ratios at 1:4, toddler ratios at 1:6, and preschool ratios at 1:12. Lead teachers must hold a High School Diploma. Annual training isn't required by the state. No objective process measures (e.g., state quality rating or national accreditation) are available for this daycare. The overall rating reflects structural features only.

- Wading Pools (A) Notwithstanding the Requirements of Section 101238(e), Fencing Is Not Required for Inflatable or Other Portable Plastic Wading Pools with Sides Low Enough For…CCR 101238.5(a)(1)
Based on observation during the tour of the outdoor area, LPA observed 5 wading pools with at least 3 wading pools that still had a few inches of water left in them. Site director stated Tuesdays are their "water play" days and she typically goes out afterwards to empty the wading pools and also put them away. Due to all 3 classrooms having exit doors that lead directly to this area of the facility, this poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. Children were having lunch during the time LPA found the water in the wading pools. POC Due Date: 07/10/2024
- Buildings and Grounds (G) Disinfectants, Cleaning Solutions, Poisons and Other Items That Could Pose a Danger if Readily Available to Children Shall Be Stored Where Inaccessible…CCR 101238(g)
Based on observation during the facility tour, LPA found multiple "Lysol" disinfectant sprays in the 4-4.5 year old classroom. These items were not behind a lock or a latch and were kept in a cabinet which was easily accessible for the age group of children in the classroom. Additionally, there is a classroom which is not in use by children, but children go into to wash their hands. LPA found screws and a screw driver in reach of children. This all poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. POC Due Date: 07/09/2024

Some chemicals included: Lysol disinfectant spray, Lysol toilet bowl cleaner, multiple disinfectant sprays, a big plastic bag, etc. All items have KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN listed on them. This poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. POC Due Date: 06/12/2023

Based on observation, the center did not comply with the section cited above. Three playing structures were worn down and had cracks in them that were exposed and easily accessible to children while they play outside. This poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. POC Due Date: 06/12/2023
